GETTING TO GUANA

We are happy to help you find the best way to get here!

Arrival Information

Please inform our reservations office of your airline, flight number and arrival time at Beef Island airport (Airport Code: EIS). A Guana representative will meet you just outside the Customs door and accompany you on the short drive to our dock. There you will board a Guana launch for the 10-minute cruise to Guana Island. If there should be any change in your arrival time before or while in transit, please phone:

  • The New York office: (212) GUANAIS or (212) 482-6247 / (800) 544-8262 or the Island directly
  • Guana Island: (284) 494-2354 / (284) 442-2050 /
Traveling to Guana

Fly by commercial airline into British Virgin Island’s Beef Island airport via San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten or Antigua. (The airport also accommodates private planes.) Our boatman will be waiting for you. Then it’s just a matter of minutes on the Guana launch until you see the iguana-shaped outcropping that gives the Island its name. As we hope you’ll soon find out for yourself, the only difficult part about a trip to Guana is leaving it.

Charter Flights—Local and Long-distance

Many local airlines offer charter flights between Tortola, San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Antigua. They are convenient if you’d like to avoid waiting times in those cities. Long distance chartered and private jets requiring a 4,600’ runway can land at Beef Island airport.Ask us for information about a 14-seat Falcon 900ex jet or about local charter planes.

Some Travel Suggestions

Some of our guests have asked for information about airline schedules and costs for flights to the BVI. These are some of the choices you might want to consider:

  • Fly from San Juan (SJU) or St. Thomas (STT) to Tortola (EIS) by scheduled carriers or on chartered flights.
  • Take a water taxi or ferry from St. Thomas to Tortola.
  • Most of our guests fly to San Juan and then connect to a smaller commercial plane to Tortola.
